How To Structure Impactful School Garden Professional Development –June 21, 2023

From full day workshops to short mini trainings, there are many ways to provide in-person professional development to teachers and educators so that they can confidently conduct garden-based education. This webinar dives into two methods: professional learning communities and multi-day workshops.

First, you’ll hear from Ashley of Skyview School and Sara of Prescott Unified School District. They explore ways of organizing and facilitating a professional learning community which engages local partners, fosters knowledge-sharing, and responds directly to the needs of the community.

Next you’ll hear from Friends of the National Arboretum where Ashley & Allie share their responsive training strategies for their 4-day summer professional development for D.C. teachers, and give a behind the scenes view of how they collaboratively plan for it.

Resource Guide, including slide deck and a folder of resources from each presenter.
